Hearing Testing and Evaluations
Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.
Scheduled and performed by a licensed and experienced hearing healthcare professional. These evaluations may be covered by insurance, but discuss with your provider to learn more.
More on Hearing TestsThese are objective tests that measure auditory function. Two of the most common are Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Electrocochleography (ECochG) testing which both measure electrical activity that occurs in response to sound. With information from a patient’s past medical history, audiologists can provide accurate care for each individual. Hearing tests are performed to root out the cause of any current conditions. Pitches and frequencies are tested with the aid of an audiogram providing real-time information. Once the results are charted, we’ll be able to recommend the best possible course of treatment.
More on Evaluation for Hearing AidsHearing aid dispensing and fitting is an overwhelming experience for first time recipients of hearing aids. Patients should bring along a trusted friend or loved one to help ease them into the transition. Professionals will go into detail about features, maintenance and expectations. The use of live speech mapping will assist with the final adjustments needed for the hearing device.
